With four times as many customers preferring to watch a video on a product than read about it, it’s important you get the correct video to represent your product.
Here are my three tips on why video could help improve your sales and the online image of your company:
1. A personal message
A well produced video enables your customer to get a sense of your business where they would otherwise have very little contact with you. Allowing them to create a “virtual” connection with your brand is especially important for online businesses.
2. Going viral
Going “viral” is a term that has been around since the dawn of YouTube. A viral video is one that seemingly pops up out of nowhere and gets a large viewing in a short amount of time, thanks to social sharing. Unfortunately, there is no set formula for “going viral”, but quite a few products have gained popularity through viral videos, including some of the brands we know and love today.
3. The stats don’t lie
60% of website visitors would rather watch a video than read text on a product. So instead of another block of text, here is a short video I have put together explaining this point. (Of course, this video is under a minute as nearly two-thirds of consumers prefer a video which is under sixty seconds long).
