After years of avoiding making the leap of faith, I finally set up my own company. I think, like most people, a combination of poor employers and a lack of creative freedom gradually wore me down and I felt that if I wanted to stay within the photography industry then now was the time to have a go at it.

As I enter my fourth month of going it alone I constantly ask myself why I didn’t do this a number of years ago. It has genuinely breathed fresh life back into my work and at times I do feel as though I am looking at the world through a different set of eyes.
I am now able to shoot more of the work I want to and also add my own creative edge, which leads me to my #bestnine2017. This is a largely Instagram based hashtag whereby users post their most popular images of 2017.
The results of mine all came within the last two months of last year. I’m not sure if this can be attributed to me becoming more “Instagram-savvy” (as a side note, look here for my tips on social media for photographers) or my upturn in creativity.
I hope 2018 proves to be an even better year and if you or anybody you know is looking for professional product photography in Lancashire, then please, get in touch. It won’t be as expensive as you think and you can get fantastic results like this!
