Are you still wondering what to get the photographer in your life for Christmas?

These 5 stocking fillers for photographers will get you on anybody’s nice list!

Ryze Tello Drone

Drones are big business now and if you fancy getting a little bit of practice in before you invest hundreds into a drone without any flight experience this Ryze Tello Drone – which uses the same technology as the DJI drones in a palm-size product – is a great place to start.

It’s great for using indoors and getting the children involved as it can be programmed to perform flips as well as sporting a 5MP camera, if you want to use it to take some basic images.

It’s important to be aware of the laws surrounding drones and be aware of the drone code too before you start.

Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod

This little tripod has got me out of some pickles before, it is small enough to fit in your pocket, weighs under 200g and can take up to 1kg of camera gear. It also doubles up as a great way to hold your camera if you’re doing any video work.

It’s available in a variety of colours and there are also a few different models which are capable of holding heavier loads.

Canon Mug

There isn’t a studio in the country that doesn’t have one of these lying around somewhere.  What greater way to show everyone you’re a legit photographer than having a mug in the shape of your favourite lens.

Don’t worry, they also come in a Nikon version too, if you’re that way inclined.

Just make sure you don’t mistake a real lens for the cup as it could be a very costly mistake!

Instax mini 9

For those who remember the joy of Polaroid, this neat little camera from Instax will bring all those warm feelings straight back, now with an added mirror for those all-important selfies.

It comes with ten sheets of film, which are widely available to replace in most supermarkets and can be purchased in five colours to match any photographer’s style.

Think Tank Emergency Rain Cover

This is a great little piece of kit to have stored inside your camera bag.  If you’ve ever been caught in the rain with your camera you will know that panic of trying to get it hidden under your coat all too well.

It’s available in two sizes, so it doesn’t matter if you’re using a DSLR or a mirrorless system and both feature a storage pouch and a handy transparent window on the back so you can still see your camera’s rear LCD screen.

I hope these 5 stocking fillers have given you a few ideas on what to get the photographer in your life, if there are any bits you think we have missed off then pop it in the comments below and we’ll get them added to the post!

Have a very creative Christmas!
